Love the Lake Festival

The Acworth Love the Lake Festival takes place on Saturday, September 4 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, September 5, 2010 from noon to 6pm. The Labor Day weekend festival takes place at Cauble Park in downtown Acworth and features over 150 arts & crafts vendors as well as 30 food vendors and live entertainment. There is also a large kids zone.

Love the Lake Festival Parade
The festival begins with the Love the Lake Festival Parade at 10am. The parade begins at Acworth First Baptist Church and goes south on Main St. to Cowan Rd. The 2010 parade theme is Yesteryears – A celebration of Acworth’s 150th Birthday. The Love the Lake Festival begins after the parade.

There is parking in downtown Acworth with free shuttle rides. Just look for the shuttle stop signs.

Fourth of July Celebration

Acworth 4th of July Fireworks

On Sunday, July 4th, 2010, the City of Acworth and the Acworth Business Association are hosting an Independence Day celebration at Cauble Park. The celebration features live music starting at 2pm and headliners FLASHBACK starting at 8pm. At 9:30pm, watch as the best fireworks show in Cobb County takes place over Lake Acworth. Food and drinks will be available from vendors.

2010 Schedule:
2pm – Concert with Sons of Thunder
4:45pm – Concert with Freedom Band
6pm – Concert with Journey Band
8pm – Headline concert with Flashback
9:30/Dark – Fireworks

Admission:
The concert is free to the public, and tables for 6 are available for an additional fee.

Parking:
Parking at Cauble Park is by pass only on July 4 but you are not guaranteed a parking spot at Cauble Park with this pass so please plan on arriving early. If you do not have a parking pass or if the parking if full, you will need to park downtown and take a shuttle down to the park. This is a free shuttle service. If you choose to park downtown, shuttles will pick you up at the city hall parking lot and the post office parking lot. Shuttles will begin running at 3:00 p.m.
