The third annual Smoke on the Lake backyard barbecue festival takes place on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Cauble Park on Lake Acworth. The festival features a Friday night concert under the stars and a BBQ competition from 10-4 on Saturday. Come out and sample BBQ from the area’s best restaurants as well as a non-sanctioned competition open to anyone who loves to cook great BBQ. There is also a large kids area, a sports zone, inflatables, live music and more.
Bring your appetite to enjoy BBQ from Cobb’s best restaurants as well as samples from the BBQ teams. There will also be a variety of food vendors selling popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, icees, ice cream, hamburgers, desserts, waters and soft drinks.
The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of North Cobb and the City of Acworth. All proceeds benefit local Cobb charities as well as Rotary International charities.
