Acworth Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 27, 2010, the Easter Bunny is hopping on over to the Acworth Sports Complex in Acworth, Georgia.  The Easter Egg Hunt will include over 30,000 eggs filled with toys, candy and prizes.  Children under 12  are invited to participate, and the hunt will be divided into groups based on age.

Schedule:

  • 9:45 am
    Special needs Easter egg hunt on Horizon field
  • 10:10 am
    1 – 2 year olds will begin their hunt on field one
  • 10:20 am
    3 – 5 year olds will begin their hunt on field four
  • 10:30 am
    6 – 8 year olds will begin their hunt on field three
  • 10:30 am
    9 – 11 year olds will begin their hunt on field two

A helicopter, provided by Freedom Church, will be dropping eggs on fields number two and three at the Acworth Sports Complex. Be sure to look out for special prize eggs that can be redeemed for great prizes. Also, there will be no official photographer on site, but bring your camera as there will be many great photo opportunities.

Please note that the location has changed this year. In previous years, the Acworth Easter Egg Hunt took place in Cauble Park.  This year, the hunt has moved to a new location at the Acworth Sports Complex.

Acworth Daddy Daughter Dance

The annual Daddy Daughter Dance, hosted by the Acworth Parks and Recreation Dept, begins at 7pm on Febuary 6 at North Cobb High School. This year’s theme is At the Hop. Break out the poodle
skirts and leather jackets as you spend a special evening with dance, fun and games for the dads and daughters to enjoy.

The event is open to all girls up to age 13, and the fee is $25 for Acworth residents and $35 for non-city residents. Additional daughters are $10 for City of Acworth residents and $15 for non-city residents each. Refreshments will be served and a DJ will be providing music. Optional photos will also be available for purchase.
