Acworth Daddy Daughter Dance

Acworth’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance takes place on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 7-9pm, at the North Cobb High School Cafeteria. This year the theme is “A Mad Hatter Tea Party”.

The Queen has invited all girls 13 years of age and younger escorted with their Dad or adult male escort to take a trip through the rabbit hole and visit Wonderland for a very special tea party. Recommended attire is tea party dresses for the girls and jackets for the dads, and mad hatter hats are highly encouraged!

This dance is a great opportunity for dads and their daughters to spend a special evening together. A DJ will be providing music for the “couples” to dance the night away, as well as games for the dads and daughters to enjoy. This event is open to all girls age 13 and younger.

Admission for two is $25 for City of Acworth residents or $35 for non-city residents. Additional daughters are $15.00 each. Registration is available online at:

Acworth Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, the Easter Bunny is hopping on over to the Acworth Sports Complex in Acworth, Georgia.  The Easter Egg Hunt will include over 20,000 eggs filled with toys, candy and prizes.  Children under 12  are invited to participate, and the hunt will be divided into groups based on age.

Schedule:

  • 10:00 am
    Children with special needs Easter egg hunt on Horizon field
  • 10:10 am
    1 – 2 year olds will begin their hunt
  • 10:20 am
    3 – 5 year olds will begin their hunt
  • 10:30 am
    6 – 8 year olds will begin their hunt
  • 10:30 am
    9 – 11 year olds will begin their hunt

Be sure to look out for special prize eggs that can be redeemed for great prizes. Also, there will be no official photographer on site, but bring your camera as there will be many great photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.
