Henry’s Louisiana Grill Ribbon Cutting With New Owners Brian and Taylor Cowart

Henry’s Louisiana Grill held a ribbon cutting on Friday, January 9, 2026, welcoming Brian and Taylor Cowart as the restaurant’s new owners. Mayor Tommy Allegood, the City of Acworth team, and the Acworth Business Association joined the celebration in downtown Acworth.

Chef Henry Chandler opened Henry’s Louisiana Grill on August 15, 2000, building it into a long-running local favorite. In April 2024, Henry and Claudia Chandler sold the restaurant to a Colorado couple, with Henry staying on for a period as a consultant.

Now the Cowarts have become the third set of owners, officially taking over on Monday, December 15, 2025. The ribbon cutting served as the public “hello” moment, and plenty of guests stayed afterward for lunch and the bold Louisiana flavors that helped put Henry’s on the map.

The Cowarts also operate several restaurants in their hometown of Blue Ridge, including Harvest on Main and Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar and Grill, experience that translates well to the daily rhythm of a busy dining room and a high-expectation kitchen.

As they step into a well-known Acworth kitchen, the husband-and-wife team has said they plan to keep the same great food and friendly service regulars love. And at Henry’s, as Chef Henry Chandler once put it, “You’re only as good as your last plate of food.”
