Acworth will mark America’s 250th birthday with the Threads of Freedom Parade on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2 pm. The patriotic parade will travel along Historic Main Street, starting at First Baptist Church and finishing at Holbrook Acworth.
The event is planned as part of the city’s celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial, which sounds like something a Founding Father would say after a third cup of tavern coffee. In plain English, America is turning 250, and Acworth is putting a parade on Main Street.
Residents, families, businesses, and local organizations are invited to take part. Registered participants may use street-legal vehicles, including PTVs, trucks with trailers, cars, and similar vehicles approved for road use. If you are interested in participating in the parade with your vehicle or group, please register here.
The Threads of Freedom Parade will begin at First Baptist Church, located at 4583 Church Street, and travel along Historic Main Street before ending at Holbrook Acworth, located at 4491 South Main Street.
