Acworth Book & Storytelling Festival

The Acworth Book & Storytelling Festival returns to the historic Roberts School this August with a full day of words, wisdom, and a bit of fun for all ages. Readers, writers, and anyone who enjoys a good story will find plenty to enjoy with authors, storytellers, and book signings filling the schedule.

This year’s theme, “Ink & Echo: Writing the stories. Speaking the truth.”, highlights the ways stories continue to shape and reflect life. From page to stage, the event celebrates voices that inform, inspire, and entertain.

The day kicks off with keynote speaker Bren McClain, award-winning author of One Good Mama Bone, in conversation with writer T. M. Brown. Storytelling sessions will bring professional tellers to the stage, each with their own style and flavor. Families will especially enjoy the midday kids’ story time featuring Will and his guitar in the library.

Vendors will be on site throughout the day, and the afternoon closes with a panel discussion focused on preparing the next generation of storytellers. It’s a mix of conversation, performance, and book-filled browsing that keeps things lively from start to finish.

  1. Hello!

My name is Elizabeth and I recently published a book. Is there an opportunity for new authors to participate in the event to sell books and network? Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!
