The City of Acworth will be hosting the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration on Monday, January 16, 2017. The ceremony will take place at 10 am at City Hall at and feature guests speakers from the local community.  This year’s keynote speaker will be Vaughn Williams, Athletic Director at Kennesaw State University. There will also be a musical performance from the Acworth United Methodist Youth Choir.

Immediately following the ceremony, the Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program will host their Annual MLK Day of Service at the historic Roberts School Community and Education Center. The Acworth Achievers Mentoring and After School Program provides middle and high school students service learning projects in additional to educational assistance and recreational activities throughout the year.

Come take part in this special day! Participants will be working on a service project in the Acworth community.
